Clubs with Makers exist in schools, community centers, and in neighborhoods. Some are open to new members, and others are only for the youth who are already part of the institution that hosts the club. To add your group to the directory, please fill out our Affiliated Clubs Application.
Techbridge Makers Club is an after-school program currently being hosted at Oakland Technical High School. We meet weekly in an effort to interest girls in STEM, by providing them an outlet to further develop their technical skills and express their creativity. We currently have 20 ninth-twelfth graders who are working closely with mentors from UC Berkeley to design projects including a light up Ping-Pong table, musical Rube Goldberg machine, pulse-detecting LED bracelet, and many more. Feel free to reach out regarding questions, thoughts, or an interest in volunteering.
